At EMMU BOOKS we welcome aspiring authors from underrepresented groups! We celebrate diversity in voices and stories. To submit your work for consideration, ensure your manuscript is polished to a certain degree you are happy with and please provide the following information alongside the opening (first) chapter of your work: a brief synopsis, the author's bio, and a brief statement on the cultural or personal significance of your story. We encourage unique perspectives and narratives that amplify the richness of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) experiences. Works that embrace authenticity, explore everyday experiences, speaks to resilience, change, growth and real stories of triumph. Our desire is to help champion the next generation of diverse literary talents from under represented communities. And we hope you could be one of such champions.


A degree in English literary study and a minimum of three years experience in an editor related role.
Strong communication skill
A passion for storytelling.
And be willing to volunteer a couple of hours per week.


We are a small publishing company and we work with our authors every step of the publishing and marketing process. What we are offering is a partnership where everyone has a say on how revenue are generated and managed.


By working with us you will receive the fairest deal in the industry. You will play a crucial role in the book content and cover design in collaborations with expert graphic designers and professionals passionate about storytelling. The publishing and marketing will be done by a team of professionals using every necessary channel there is. 


Your responsibility as an editor is to help polish every story selected for publication. You will work with our authors to get their books out there in the hands of as many people as possible.
